6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Our Gala weekend begins with a reception and dine-around dinner featuring culinary creations by New Orleans Chef John Folse and The Greenbrier. Benny Benack will provide music for dancing. Come dressed in festive attire for a night featuring the best from “The Crescent City”.
7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.
Begin your day with an invigorating 5K Run/Walk around the beautiful grounds of The Greenbrier.
9:00 a.m. – 9:50 a.m.
Treat yourself to a morning mimosa or coffee and yummy muffins while perusing exquisite jewelry designed by Joan Stamp.
10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Expand your knowledge and learn about the latest advancements in education, research and patient care at the WVU Cancer Institute with presentations and a panel discussion from Dr. Richard Goldberg, Dr. Lori Hazlehurst, Dr. Mark McLaughlin, and Dr. Malcolm Mattes. Also, hear from Dave Gruver, National Sales Director for UGG Australia, he will share his patient experience at the WVU Cancer Institute. Mr. Gruver will be joined by Ron Pellegrino, MD, Chief Operating Officer, WVU Medicine. Information will be included on WVU Medicine’s Executive Health Program, and the Grateful Patients Families and Friends program.
11:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Hear from Rebekah Gee, MD, Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health, on preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting human health. Dr. Gee will also share her personal experience with cancer, the impact it has had on her family and her passion for healthcare.
2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Join renowned Chef John Folse in The Greenbrier’s Culinary Arts Center for a demonstration of culinary delights from “The Big Easy”.
6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Prior to dinner, mix and mingle with old and new friends.
7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Our Gala weekend will conclude with a spectacular evening featuring The Greenbrier’s finest cuisine. Don your best black and white attire for our grand finale. You’ll bask in the sounds of the Benny Benack band with a special performance by internationally renowned singer and WVU graduate, James Valenti. A very special tribute to the late Jeanne Hamilton will be a highlight of the evening.
